Chequered Ink has released a massive pack of 10,000 fully human-made game assets to reduce developers’ need to turn to AI. It includes 9,000+ visuals for platformers, RPGs, puzzle, and board games, plus over 700 sound effects. 👾
The pack is currently on a 50% discount for $10 and can be used for any purpose, including commercial projects (as long as the raw files aren’t resold). 💰
Highlighting AI’s energy consumption and copyright issues, the team emphasized that “Stories are told more powerfully by human hands” and stated they will continue creating hand-crafted content to help developers progress without relying on generative AI. 👨🏻💻
